Professional Experience

  1. Shark | Ninja, Frozen Treats - Engineering

    Product Design Engineer

    July 2023 - Present
    • Led the design and development of core electromechanical and smart-system architectures for a first- of-its-kind kitchen appliance, enabling intuitive user interaction for complex subsystem behavior.
    • Directed root-cause investigations and corrective-action implementation to resolve design, reliability, and field- reported issues.
    • Developed strong system knowledge and supported projects proactively, becoming a key technical resource for cross-functional teams.
    • Managed international prototype builds and supplier development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine designs for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA).
    • Performed FEA, tolerance stack-ups, and prototype testing to validate structural robustness, manufacturability, and alignment with performance requirements.
  2. Mixed-Initiative Design Lab @Texas A&M University

    Graduate Researcher

    April 2022 - December 2022
    • Led design and configuration of hardware for virtual reality object manipulation using IMU sensors to perform VR interaction studies in early-stage design contexts.
    • Enhanced user experience by rigorously testing and modifying user-interfaces and hardware for diverse human-use scenarios, ensuring system reliability across 40+ study participants.
  3. Tata Motors Ltd

    Product Manager

    August 2019 - December 2020
    • Managed CAD reviews & discussed product feasibility with all stakeholders (Quality, Customer & Research teams) as part of New Product Introduction process.
    • Conducted root-cause analysis using FMEA and 5-Why, during prototype vehicle assembly, identifying design and production issues and devising effective short- and long-term solutions.
    • Strategized manufacturing and procurement methods, leading to significant cost savings of approximately INR 40,000 per vehicle (2-3% of cost price).
